Adolphe sax invented a mouthpiece with a large, round chamber to go with the saxophone. This basic design concept is still acoustically superior. The great mouthpieces of the past like Bobby Dukoff and Otto Link stayed pretty true to this ideal, with subtle changes to baffle and chamber size to accommodate changing fashions in saxophone tone.

They were great tools, the best available, but not necessarily the best possible. Using state of the art CAD (computer aided drawing) design to precisely manipulate chamber shape, we have achieved improvements in tone and response over anything that has come before. Inspired by the great designs of the past, the Morgan Fry Model One is the next step in their evolution.
